passwd revealed

Damn, revealed a production database password today, accidentally.

Lesson learn. While WinXP is loading applications in the background immediately after login? Never start any instant messaging while logging in. Well this happened.

1. ssh to production server
2. Start Gaim
3. Start Skype
4. start logging in
5. start logging into production database
6. at password prompt, start typing password
7. lo and behold, an irritating friend sends me an instant message.

The MSN window loads but has yet to display itself. But during this time, focus was on the hidden window just before I type the database password. Yeah, you probably guessed it, it got sent to my friend. Thankfully the clown doesn't know the exact nature of my job. But still, it is a lesson learnt.
